Prepare reviewable DB points from a TIA project
After confirming TIA Portal and Openness access, scan and review DB points, symbolic addresses, and data types. Export results to HQControl, another SCADA / HMI, or a custom workflow.

When to use it
Use HQ Scan whenever a TIA Portal project needs DB points, symbolic addresses, or type data prepared, regardless of the downstream software.
Prerequisites
Confirm TIA Portal opens correctly on the machine and the current Windows user has Openness permissions. If the state is incomplete, repair permissions first.
What HQ Scan does
HQ Scan is not a runtime platform or screen authoring tool. The public documentation scope is TIA / PLC DB-point preparation; I, Q, M, and other non-DB address areas are not part of the HQ Scan export scope.
Recommended Scan Workflow
Check the environment, select the project, narrow the scan scope, review results, apply rules, and export.
Check TIA Portal and permissions
Make sure TIA Portal can open the project and the current user has Openness access. Repair permissions if needed.
Select the TIA project
Choose the TIA project and verify its full path. Save a result session for later review, or choose the file location when exporting the current result.
Limit the scan scope
Select only the required PLC, DBs, or project-tree branches before scanning. The default delivery scope focuses on DB point preparation.
Scan and review the result table
Check symbolic addresses, absolute addresses, data types, scan periods, and result count before exporting.
Filter and review rules
Use selection, filtering, and Rule Center to keep the reviewed delivery set focused.
Export the final result
Export to Excel for manual review, or CSV / JSON for program processing and system import.
